This chess image was one of five pieces in a visual series I created to explore personal emotions I’ve experienced. Through the symbolic use of chess pieces, I represented feelings such as loneliness, isolation, and betrayal, using the board as a metaphorical stage for inner conflict. Rather than telling a specific narrative, I intentionally left the story open-ended to encourage interpretation and emotional connection from each viewer.

My goal was to create a space for shared reflection, allowing the audience to relate these images to their own emotional experiences. By focusing on subtle symbolism and minimal composition, the series invites viewers to pause and consider their own memories of vulnerability, distance, or fractured trust.
